Cash4Cars is based in Penrose, but our buyers come to you. We collect from homes, apartments and workplaces right across the Shore, at a time that suits you, including weekends. You sign two forms, we transfer the money, and we drive the car away. No listing, no test drives, and no strangers turning up at your door.

Which North Shore suburbs do you cover?

All of them, with free pickup. That includes:

• Lower Shore: Devonport, Takapuna, Milford, Northcote, Birkenhead, Hauraki and Belmont
• East Coast Bays: Browns Bay, Mairangi Bay, Murrays Bay, Torbay and Long Bay
• Upper and central Shore: Albany, Glenfield, Sunnynook, Forrest Hill and Beach Haven
• Further north: Silverdale, Ōrewa, Millwater and Whangaparāoa on the Hibiscus Coast

Working in the Albany or Rosedale business areas? We can collect from your workplace during the day, so the car is sold before you get home.

What cars do we buy on the North Shore?

We buy good, drivable cars, SUVs, utes and vans from 2010 onwards, generally under 150,000 km and worth $8,000 or more. That includes family SUVs, European prestige models, hybrids, and Teslas and other EVs. We don't buy crashed, written-off, non-running, or flood or hail damaged cars. If yours isn't a fit, we'll tell you straight away rather than waste your time.

How selling your car works

1. Tell us about the car. Plate, kilometres, condition and a few photos from your phone, through our online offer form. It takes about two minutes.
2. Get your offer. A buyer reviews your photos and sends a firm written offer by text and email.
3. We collect and pay. We check the car matches the photos, pay out any finance, lodge the change of ownership with Waka Kotahi NZTA and transfer the money to your bank account before we leave.

Prefer to drive in?

You're welcome to bring the car to our yard at 575 Great South Road, Penrose. From the Shore it's a straightforward run over the Harbour Bridge and down the Southern Motorway. We're open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm, Saturday 9am to 3pm and Sunday 10am to 3pm. Most North Shore sellers choose pickup, though, because it's free and saves the trip.
